Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2025
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Rappider (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rappider, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Rappider regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
2. Description of Service
Rappider provides a free, browser-based image editing service that allows users to edit images using tools including but not limited to: background removal, image filters, cropping, resizing, text addition, drawing, color adjustments, and AI-powered photo colorization. The Service is provided “as is” and is available at no cost to end users.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
The Service is supported by advertising revenue, including display advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that advertisements may be displayed to you as part of the Service.
3. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the images and content you upload to and process using the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the images you upload, or you have the necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to use them.
- Your use of the Service will not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or rights of publicity.
- You will not use the Service to process, create, or distribute illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, or material that incites violence or hatred.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Service.
- You will not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure.
- You will not use the Service to process images for the purpose of training competing AI models without our express written permission.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this provision, including without limitation, reporting violators to law enforcement authorities.
4. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the images you upload and the edited images you create using the Service. Because all standard editing operations are performed client-side in your browser and images are never transmitted to our servers, we make no claim whatsoever to ownership of your images.
When you use AI features that transmit your image to the Replicate API for processing, you grant Replicate a limited, temporary license to process your image solely for the purpose of providing the AI feature. This license terminates upon completion of the processing request.
Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, codebase, brand, logo, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Rappider and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
You use the Service entirely at your own risk. We strongly recommend maintaining backups of your original images before editing. While the Service processes images client-side without uploading them, browser crashes and unexpected errors can result in loss of unsaved work.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RAPPIDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service;
- Any content obtained from the Service, including the results of AI-powered features;
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content;
- Any other matter relating to the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. AI Features Disclaimer
Rappider offers AI-powered features including background removal and photo colorization. These features utilize machine learning models, including models accessed via the Replicate API. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Results may vary: AI model outputs are probabilistic and non-deterministic. Results may vary between runs and may not always meet your expectations. We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or consistency of AI-generated outputs.
- Not a substitute for professional editing: AI features are provided for convenience and general use. For professional, commercial, or legally sensitive image processing needs, we recommend consulting a professional photo editor.
- Colorization accuracy: AI colorization generates plausible colors based on statistical patterns — it does not know the actual colors of objects in historical photographs. Colorized images should not be presented as historically accurate color records.
- Third-party processing: When AI features require external processing via the Replicate API, your image is subject to Replicate’s terms of service and privacy policy in addition to ours. We recommend reviewing those policies before using AI features with sensitive images.
- Usage limits: To manage costs and ensure fair access, AI features may be subject to daily usage limits enforced via browser localStorage. These limits may change at any time.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Because the Service requires no account registration, we cannot notify you directly of Terms changes by email. If you regularly use the Service, we recommend checking this page periodically.
9. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms of Service, please contact us through our contact page. We will do our best to respond to all legitimate inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.
For urgent legal matters or copyright infringement notices (DMCA), please include “Legal Notice” in the subject line of your message to ensure prompt attention.
