Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Rappider (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our free online image editing service available at this website (the “Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

The core principle of Rappider is that your images stay on your device. All standard image editing operations — including cropping, resizing, applying filters, adjusting colors, adding text, and drawing — are performed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. No image data is transmitted to our servers during these operations.

We do not collect, process, or store:

  • Images you upload to the editor
  • Personal information such as your name, email address, or physical address (unless you voluntarily provide it through the contact form)
  • Payment information of any kind (the Service is entirely free)
  • Account credentials (no account creation is required or offered)

Contact form submissions: If you choose to contact us through our contact page, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. This information is processed by our form provider (Formspree) and is used solely to respond to your inquiry. See Section 3 for details on third-party services.

Server logs: Like any web service, our hosting provider may automatically collect standard web server log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics. It is not linked to individual users or stored beyond standard retention periods.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

Rappider uses a limited number of cookies and browser storage mechanisms:

Google AdSense Cookies

Our Service displays advertising provided by Google AdSense to fund the free operation of the Service. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

localStorage for Usage Limits

We use your browser’s localStorage to store usage count data for certain AI features (such as background removal and colorization). This data is stored locally on your device only — it is never transmitted to our servers. This data includes a count of how many times you have used AI features within the current period. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage or site data.

Locale Preference

We may store your preferred display language in localStorage or via URL routing to serve content in your preferred language on return visits.

3. Third-Party Services

Rappider integrates with the following third-party services. When you use features that rely on these services, the listed data may be shared with them:

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to collect data about your use of our site and other sites to serve relevant ads. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Replicate API

When you use AI features (background removal and photo colorization), your image may be transmitted to the Replicate API for processing. Replicate is a third-party AI platform that runs AI models on its infrastructure. Images sent to Replicate are processed to generate results and are not permanently stored beyond the duration required to complete the processing request, in accordance with Replicate’s data handling policies. Replicate’s privacy policy is available at replicate.com/privacy.

You will be notified before any image is sent to an external service. AI features that require external processing are clearly labeled. Standard editing tools (filters, crop, resize, color adjustments, text) never transmit your images.

Formspree

Our contact form is powered by Formspree. When you submit the contact form, your submission data (name, email, message) is processed by Formspree and forwarded to our email address. Formspree’s privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not collect personal data in the normal course of using the Service, there is minimal data to retain. Specifically:

  • Images: Never stored on our servers. They exist only in your browser during your editing session.
  • Contact form submissions: Retained in our email inbox for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, typically no longer than 12 months.
  • Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted.
  • localStorage data: Persists on your device until you clear it or until the browser clears it according to its own storage policies.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States. These rights may include:

  • Right of access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to restriction: You can ask us to limit how we use your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: You can ask for a machine-readable copy of your personal data.
  • Right to object: You can object to our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Given that Rappider collects virtually no personal data during normal use, these rights are primarily relevant to contact form submissions and server log data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 6.

6. Contact Information

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, wish to exercise your data rights, or have concerns about our data practices, please contact us through our contact page or by submitting a message via the contact form.

We are committed to resolving privacy concerns promptly. We will respond to all legitimate privacy inquiries within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you disagree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Service.

Because the Service requires no account registration, we cannot notify you directly of policy changes by email. Please check this page periodically if you are a regular user.
